I had the opportunity in October 2016 to make felt hats  with Dawn Edwards from the USA. She was a tutor at the Geelong Fibre Forum in Victoria (Australia). Every year Tafta Inc presents a week-long retreat with some amazing tutors.  Participants  come and create for a whole week, with nothing to do but enjoy the learning experience. FELT magazine – December 2016 – Feltwest exhibition review

There is definitely something special about having a piece of one’s work appear in a dedicated felt magazine. Recently sold, one of my pieces ‘Filament to Fantasy’ was featured in the December 2016 issue of the ‘FELT’ magazine.

A dedicated felt exhibition is a rarity in Perth, so the opportunity to exhibit in MACRO|micro as a member of Feltwest was enticing. I have participated in quite a few textile exhibitions over the years. This was the first time I used hand made felt as the main medium.
